3 Signs it’s Time for a New Bathtub

A new bathtub can really spruce up your space! Is it time for you to get a new bathtub in your home? Here are some of the signs!

How old is your bathtub? If you’re not sure of the answer to that, it could be time to think about a replacement. After many years, they do eventually wear out. A new bathtub can really spruce up your space!  Is it time for you to get a new bathtub in your home? Here are some of the signs!

Stains Won’t Come Out

A stained bathtub is an eyesore. There are many things that can cause staining, especially in older porcelain tubs. If a stain is particularly dark or it has been there for many years, there is a chance it may not lift completely. When this happens, it’s a sign that the tub has aged enough to need replacing.

It’s Sprung a Leak

A leaky tub can drip water into your bathroom floor, as well as into the walls in your home. No one wants to slip on a wet floor. If the leak is inside your wall, it can quickly become a big problem. If the leak isn’t fixed, it can eventually lead to the growth of mold and mildew. Unfortunately, it is nearly impossible to fix a leaky tub, even with the help of a professional. If you’ve discovered a leak in your bathtub, it’s time to replace it.

Mold and Mildew

Due to the warm, wet environment of a bathroom, mold and mildew can form relatively quickly and cause damage as well as release allergens into your home. There are many products on the market that are designed to combat mold and mildew, but depending on how bad the problem is, they might not be enough. The only way to truly be sure that the problem is gone is to replace the tub.
