Design Your Shower Swimmingly

Bathroom remodeling and shower design takes some serious thought

When you design a shower, it takes serious thought. Every homeowner wants their bathroom to be functional, visually appealing, and organized. You spend a lot of time in the shower. Therefore, it makes sense to enjoy a space that you frequent. Showers are supposed to help us wash the stress away. Bathrooms should serve as an oasis to breathe, relax, and have deep thoughts while maintaining hygiene. If you don’t feel this way about your bathroom, you should give us a call. In the meantime, here are some bathroom remodeling tips on how to design your shower swimmingly.

Consider Placing Your Showerhead Opposite the Shower ControlsWhen Bathroom Remodeling

Sometimes a shower can take a while to get warm. If so, it’s an advantage to turn on the water without getting wet.

The Great Debate of Bathroom Remodeling: Built-In or Handheld Shower Heads?

A handheld showerhead helps you reach hard-to-reach places such as your back. What’s even better is that a handheld shower can help you with cleaning. It’s convenient to have a portable water source when it comes down to cleaning the shower or tub. Plus, families have varying heights. Your tinier children will appreciate the flexibility that a handheld showerhead has to offer.

Consider Where and How You Want Your  Niche

It’s possible to place a niche behind a wall so that you can’t see it from outside the shower. The benefit of this is that seeing many products such as shampoos and conditioners can make a bathroom appear less organized. Therefore, placing a niche behind creates less visual clutter. If this is not an option, try situating a niche in the least visible place. You’ll want to be aware of the products you use to ensure that your niche is wide enough to accommodate them. A long ledge versus a niche is also an alternative. Whichever you choose, ensure that it blends in with your shower and complements it.

Consider a Door Vs. Curtain

It’s much easier to clean a shower glass door compared to a curtain. Yes, you can throw a curtain in the wash. However, it’s quicker to scrub a shower door. Plus, over time, you’d be surprised how much money you can spend on shower curtains. Also, aesthetically speaking, a shower door aids in a bathroom, appearing more modern and sleek. In addition, if you have a smaller bathroom, a glass shower door will create the visual illusion that there is a larger space.
